My name is Stephen G. Tuggy. I am a Software Engineer and Third Culture Kid, currently located in Central California. My interests include space; video games; music; movies; linguistics; philosophy; and electric vehicles.
I've been developing software since the late 1990s. These days, I enjoy coding in C++; Python/Django; Angular; Nest.js; .NET 6 and up; and Rust. Linux is my operating system of choice. I am also quite competent on Windows and macOS, not to mention cloud-native platforms such as Kubernetes.
Human rights are very important to me. I can't stand bigotry. I believe that we all enter this world as equals. It is our choices and our behavior that determine how we should each be treated. Along with our enormous inherent worth as human beings.
I've seen enough of dictators to know that they are nearly always a bad idea. So is authoritarianism in general. We should evaluate ideas on their own merit, not based on who said them.
The end does not justify the means.
